Cute Baby

The baby goats are so cute. This one decided to stop long enough to pose for a picture. They are so busy running around and climbing and following Mom that they are seldom still. They are really growing. They don’t stay cute little babies very long.

Storm Buddies

Tank is scared to death of storms, so we have to bring him in when it storms. During a recent one we somehow ended up with Tank, Winnie and Duchess in the house. When the storm began to get better Tank lay down on top of Donna work she was doing and Winnie curled up beside him to keep him company. It’s good to have a friend during the bad times!

Hazel and Cocoa

My niece Penny came for a visit this past weekend with her son and daughter, Miles and Hazel. Hazel had a great time playing with Cocoa. She spent quite a bit of time in the play pen with her. Cocoa misses her today.

Daisies At Sunset.

At the end of a beautiful summer day the daisiesĀ  have all turned their faces to watch the sunset. Thanks to Donna and her camera on her walk yesterday we can all enjoy it.

Goat Talk!

One of the baby goats seems to be getting some talk from Mom. Don’t know if its love or discipline. It is so interesting and fun to watch the babies and all they get into and the moms interaction with them. You have to be a good Mom if you let your babies stand on your back which they do all the time.

Hot Cat!

Man it’s to hot to chase critters! The farm cats decided it was to hot to do anything but lay in the shade. This one would not move for anything, well anything except food. But forget having to catch it, she wanted it in a dish on the porch.

What's Up???

The goats are very curious and these two seem to be very interested in what’s going on around the farm. Looks like one of them will be a mother soon. We have several more babies since the last posting but I just don’t have pictures yet. More to come later.

Twins!

On Saturday Donna had to go looking for one of the goats who was due to have a baby. When she found her she had delivered twins and Donna had to carry them down and get her to come with her. This is not easy to do, you have to stop ever so often and sit them down and let them cry and she comes to them. She is not happy about the whole deal as you can tell by her eyes. They are used to just having Deann work with them and don’t like anyone else around. But there is now 2 more babies.

A new baby!

The day before Deann left for Nebraska this mama had her baby. It’s funny to see an all black goat have an all white kid. She was so small and so was the baby but she seems to be doing well.

Dood Keeps An Eye On Her Land

On our walk Doodle takes time to ever now and then to sit and watch the farm below and make sure everything is ok.
