Labyrinth Work

It’s typically dark by the time I get home from work and get up to the labyrinth to walk it. Even with a flashlight it was difficult to see the path in some places so I decided to drive some of the rocks into the ground on their edge so they stick up. So far it’s working great. I flip a couple each day. The only challenge is that the goats like to knock them down. So, until the ground hardens I’ll have to keep picking up after them I guess.

Blowing in the Wind

Went for a walk on top of the hill. Beautiful day but it was windy! Doodle’s ears were catching the breeze.

"Let me in!!!"

Cinderpelt comes to the living room window and knocks until we let her in. She figured out this is where she could get our attention.

Morning coffee in the tropics

I am on my way to beautiful St. Johns and will be having coffee here in this spot tomorrow morning watching the sun come up.

Tamar is worried.

My bags are packed and I am ready to leave for Cincinnati to spend the night and fly out at 6:50 tomorrow morning. Tamar is hanging close to my suitcase and is very worried. She knows when I get the suitcase out I am going somewhere, without her.

The Farm Geese

I started giving the geese bread when I would go down to the farm. Now when they see my car coming down the road they come running and if they think I am going to beat them to the farm yard they will fly. I have tried sneaking by them and it doesn’t work. So I keep bread in my car to feed them.

A foggy day in January?

After having some 20 degree weather with snow and ice this morning the temperature is 32 degrees and the valley is filled with fog. The forecast is for 55 degrees today. Is this January, in Kentucky? I LOVE IT!!!

Whatcha doing?

On a walk in the field the young goats come over to check me out and see what I am doing. They want to be in on whatever is going on.

Blowing in the Wind

On our walk Tamar seemed in danger of being blown away. Her ears were not hanging down but blowing like streamers behind her. This is strange weather for January – warm 50′s and 60′s,  thunderstorms and high wind, lightening. Are we not in KY anymore?

A Dark and Windy Day

Yesterday was a strange day for January, starting with dark clouds blowing in when the sun came up and all day we had strong gusty winds and the dark clouds sailed across the sky. Tamar and I went for a walk on top of the hill and sometimes the wind almost blew us over. We only got a few sprinkles during the day but did have thunderstorms last night.
